Think Happy Thoughts

Wednesday, May 27, 2009
It seems that everywhere you turn negative news is waiting for
you. Browsing the various message boards you see people hashing things out. While getting things off your chest is good it sometimes makes it hard to maintain a positive attitude. So I am going to try to post things that make me happy so I can celebrate my journey!

This is Blake greeting me one Sunday morning how can that not cheer you up? Enjoy his puppy cuteness!

Memories

Tuesday, May 26, 2009
I have been finding myself feeling like life is speeding by and I wonder if I will have time to get to do all the things I want to do. Then I decided to sort through my pictures I have scanned in but never organized and I feel better seeing all the things I have done in the past twenty years. Now I know that there is a lot I can get done in the next twenty before I get too old to enjoy it.

Now to get them all scrapped!

A2782-1 Here is Chris before I got custody. This was probably around Easter and what sticks out in my mind that Easter was when we were changing his sister I noticed she had bumps on her back. I knew what it meant, dreaded chicken pox. I questioned my sister and she said yes they had gotten a letter home from school but that was a long time ago. Hummm yeah, how long ago? Oh about two weeks! Ok then... what can you say to that, not much except roll your eyes. Chris got them two weeks later. Lucky for me it was before I got custody so it didn't bother me a bit! I had gone through many cases of chicken pox with the kids I used to take care of so I knew I wasn't missing a thing!

Where has the time gone?

It seems like just yesterday he looked like this but in two days this little guy will be 17! This is Chris my nephew, I am raising him, have been since he was two except for a year and a half he was back with mom. We have had some good times this guy and I, of course if you ask him, he has had a terrible time. I will share some of the highlights over the next few day. Since I decided to blog I downloaded Picasa and found all these cute pictures of him.

The day after this picture was taken the little mittens were off his hands and the kid managed to gouge his face. To this day he still has a scar because he grew so fast those first few weeks. Now he is nearly 6 feet tall!

Just a test post to bore you all.

So I figured if I was going to Blog I might as well do it right and I downloaded some programs onto my iPhone. This is a test post made with Blog Press, we will see how I like it. The big plus was you are able to add pictures. Yep, that part works! Isn't he cute? That is my newest nephew, Fredy. He is named after his father so Jonathan the two year old calls him baby daddy. Hummm

Ramblings

I thought I might give blogging another shot, who knows maybe I will have something worthwhile to say... probably not. I am really blogging to avoid doing my homework. Terrible thing, homework. I am taking a Living in the Environment class and today I am supposed to turn in a chapters worth of work which includes a two page essay on an endangered Florida animal and a one page essay on some migratory birds, plus tons of other things. It will never get done on time...

Blogging is much more fun.
